April O'Neil

She's the first and only human, and a very good friend of the Ninja Turtles: Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo, often acting like a big sister or surrogate mother to them. April's love interest is often at Casey Jones, who is also a close friend and human ally of the Turtles.

Bio:
April was born on May 16, 2004. As a child, her father worked as a scientist for Sacks Group Ltd. with Eric Sacks on a secret project, whose intent to create a serum to protect people against biological weapons, with four baby turtles as the test subjects, which eventually turned them into mutants, with April treating them as her pets, feeding them pizza when they were little. After her father destroyed his lab, she placed the Turtles near a sewer grate.

Seventeen years later, April attended Laird and Eastman High for her Junior year and became a club member of Press Club in her dream to become a Journalist. During her session, her teacher offered an internship at Channel 6 for Journalism experience and she happily approved. There, she met two of her peers: Vern and Irma, who also go to Laird and Eastman High as well. One night when leaving work, she was accosted by Purple Dragon in league with the Foot Clan, but the Turtles appeared and saved her by knocking out and tying up the teens under the cover of darkness. In the aftermath April discovered and grabbed Raphael's lost sai, but Raphael soon followed her and took back the weapon and saved her again when she was attacked by a group of Foot Ninjas in the subway and thwarted their attempt to take hostages in a subway station. After hearing their names, she realized their ties to her father's work, but revealed the truth to Eric Sacks before the Turtles and Splinter could warn her of his real agenda.

After Leonardo, Donatello and Michelangelo were captured, she helped Raphael dig Splinter out from the rubble before helping Raphael reach the Sacks estate, giving the other Turtles a dose of adrenaline to help them escape their cages. She even managed to land the final blow on Shredder in the final battle, kicking him off the antenna of Sacks Tower after the tip was knocked over during their fight. Despite the Turtles being a groundbreaking story, April kept their secret, noting that she considered them her family.
