- The stone toad is a massive amphibian that possess bumpy pebble like skin. The texture and color of its skin is used to blend in with its environment and mimic the appearance of a rocky river floor. The camouflage allows it to dodge from predators and to ambush smaller prey.
- These toads live 5 million years in the future during the glaciocene. During frigid winter months, they often hibernate in the burrows of other animals and lay dormant for months or even a year. Slowing their metabolism and organ function.
