Let's see... what's there to tell about this wallpaper, first of all, as you can see it's about the Beast Master manga, which is in my opinion one of the coolest - although a bit simplistic - manga's ever. The set-up of the wallpaper is fairly straightforward, I used a yellow/orange/brown theme (glow of roses, colour of letters, glow of bird) and I had a bit of trouble finding an appropriate scene and background. First of all about the scene; The dialogues I have selected come from four different frames and hold no real value if you don't remember the last chapter, as Leo told her that's incredibly hard for him to tell somebody that he loves her. Next about the artwork, after going through I don't know how many artworks I was unable to find anything really good, so I went with this fairly peaceful setting, but there were two problems, first of all the scan was too small (main problem), so due to that it became a bit unsharp and secondly it was scanned quite darkly ([link] ) , none the less I definitely like, but the final wallpaper looked a bit messy. Also the gap in the bottom right corner frustrates me, but I couldn't come up with anything to place tere as the dialogue cloud at the left had to be placed there to hide the end of the drawing.

On the more artistic/technical side, I LOVE the halo like glow effect around the bird. As far as I remember in older versions of adobe fireworks there wasn't an option to set a offset for the glow effect, so I was quite happy to find that out.

Lastly, I will upload a second iteration of this wallpaper in a few minutes, where I used a shot from the manga itself, which I found when searching for a good scene (and thus found after I more or less finished this one), so check it out... I am still not sure which one I like better, but at least it's sharp.
