Description
What if Brittany had still been independent when America was discovered? Here is that story!

The Bretons of Peadra and the Dutch built many fortresses. The very hilly terrain led to mountain fortifications quite different from plain fortifications.
The most important towns like Peadra or Ste Marianne are heavily fortified.
The priority given to fortifications limited the construction of palaces or churches. But there are still relatively small but very ornate religious buildings that are in the Breton Renaissance style.
Wealthy families, almost all of Breton descent, built urban mansions in cities. In cut stone and covered with slate, they are directly inspired by contemporary Breton models. This is a reflection of the commercial and matrimonial ties that continue to exist between Brazil and Brittany, as for the royal family.
These families also have at least one country castle. It also takes up the Breton Renaissance style and is often provided with light tusks.
The peasants' house has grown but is far from its Breton equivalents.
Built of stone or adobe and covered with tiles or more often with thatch, it has a large balcony that allows you to enjoy the coolness of the night while sheltering from the rain, which is frequent in summer.
The various other communities have also left their mark. The city of Fort Hercule which was Dutch for 47 years and this since its foundation, retains typical houses.
German migrants have reproduced the farms of their regions, here Lower Saxony.
Entire villages can be non-Breton, especially for the Germans who prefer to live among themselves.
