I really like this, the forms and the texture of the metal. Only thing I dont like is the texture of the background, it feels to flat and hastily done. Yet Im not able to better myself so who am I to be a critic

Most significantly, I think the textured background needs more effort before this will become an admirable piece. The human figure and the tentacte shapes are just eye candy now that they have been done so many times.

It is nice first off.. but... we see alot of these renders of a person textured as metal or steel in a bunch of stuff also textured in steel. Dont get me wrong now.. I've done it too. I am not condeming it. It is nice but I personally feel like I've seen enough of it. I like it but I just see alot of this. If you had gone into a little more variation with the tentacles maybe I would of graded higher... I am a sucker for detail But you did do a really nice job. Keep it up. God bless.

ya, of all you're silver flower/girl pieces I like this the best.
The perspective gained from the composition and position of the camera give excellent depth and accentuate the concept of lonliness (sp?) by distancing her from the viewer.

great modelling, really cool and dark...a certain solemnity to it all. where did you learn to model like this???
you could also do lots of other versions of this...perhaps a hazy light version...with colours...as kind of an opposing picture. That might work quite well too

That is one badass render alter, i am especially impressed with the modelling of the female, human models always impress me, and this is definetely not an exception.
I must say the composition of this one is great, and the rough background contrasts well with the smoothness of the organic and metallic models.
Overall i tihnk it is very cool, your skill with maya is amazing, i guess i will have to give it a go after i get half decent at max. Great work man, keep it up

you're starting to develop a very distinctive style with maya. i like the perspective in this piece and while it shows skill and originality, i can't help but feel that it lacks a certain emotional edge that could make this truely brilliant.
maybe adding some kind of personal touch would do the trick? something easily relatable for the rest of us to pick up on and appreciate.
then again, you might just be trying to demonstrate your abilities, as oppose to expressing yourself, which is also okay.
