So this morning I had a vision...idea...inspiration or something like thatAnd this happened.
A small comic that I've gladly spent my entire day making.... ughhh
I will never do comics again :U
(spoiler tl:dr : Luna places her hoof on Celestia's cutie mark which makes sun to go into eclipse)

I think they are actually prominent tusks. Which would be canine teeth. Those are more common among male horses, but female can have them aswell.

Technically, they are vestigial pre-molars.
Not canines at all, though they can certainly lead one to believe as such, particularly if they are larger.
