Description

With Isabelle all healed up thanks to Lea, Macy, Kelvin and Finn, they suit up, Doorman brought them to United Heroez HQ, and they prepare their next attack on Sapphire. With Cyber-Shark's knowledge on Sapphire, they have the surprise advantage with them. Spider-Tsundere, Spider-Thumper, Arashi and Sparrow were training with Doorman, until Knight Owl returns. Turns out Majestia found him thanks to Barbara Keynes's computer hacking skills. (Yeah I basically made her like the future Bruce Wayne from Batman Beyond. Remember, future miraculous world. And Batman Beyond was the final inspiration for world building.) Anyways, Eagle, Cyber-Shark, Arashi, Spider-Thumper, Spider-Tsundere and Sparrow had stern looks in their faces. They didn't like how Knight Owl ditched them when Spider-Tsundere was dying.

Doorman is there too. And yes, he's gotten old as well.

"Well, well, well. Look who finally decided to show up," Arashi remarked, glaring.

"You better have a good explanation for abandoning us like that," Spider-Thumper said, equally mad.

Knight Owl was nervous. "Look, I know you all pretty much hate me."

"More like loathe entirely." Cyber-Shark said.

"I understand. But I do have an explanation. I left because I panicked. The Witcher resurrection my nemesis Wonderbolt. Turns him into a zombie minion name Dollkiller. My past came back from the dead. And in that moment, I thought to myself... I don't deserve this. I don't deserve a second chance. Wonderbolt's death was the reason I went to jail as Shadowbolt. And when I saw Spider-Tsundere coughing out blood, I left." Knight Owl explained.

"So...you ran because you felt like your past was haunting you?" Arashi asked, understanding the feeling. "You didn't want history to repeat itself by being there?"

"... Exactly." Knight Owl said. "I was... too scared to face the past again. I almost lost my son before. Seeing Spider-Tsundere's blood... made me snap."

"Dad, Its not your fault." Sparrow said.

"I doubt that son." Knight Owl said. "You wouldn't understand."

Spider-Tsundere does understand completely. Majestia and Barbara were right about him. "Lang, We know how you feel. I killed my enemies, the goblin twins, to save Neo-Tech from their genocide and I swore I will never kill again cause I found peace, and I didn't want anyone to find out about it cause I would think they would think me less as a superhero and more as a murderer cause I did it out of revenge. But its because of my friends Arashi and Spider-Thumper, I learned that there are things outside of our control. We have to do what's necessary."

"And I know what it's like to try to forget the horrible mistakes made in the past but always comes back," Arashi admitted. "I felt scared in becoming someone bad again who hurt people. Although it wasn't entirely me, I still felt responsible. Spider-Tsundere and Spider-Thumper helped me realize that I had to forgive myself in order to move forward."

Knight Owl understands Spider-Tsundere's and Arashi's speeches. He's been running away from the past because he believes he can't be forgiven. Ever since Barbara got him out of jail, she treated his family well, proving he does earn that second chance. But he always doubted cause he didn't move forward with the past. Even becoming Knight Owl didn't numb the pain. "My wife forgave me. Barb forgave me. Olympia forgave him." He said.

"I forgive you Dad. It was never your fault." Sparrow said.

"And i forgive you too." Spider-Tsundere said. "Let it go."

Knight Owl went to his knees. And he cried. Sparrow and Nest walked up to Knight Owl and gave him a hug. "Everyone's forgiven me... I... I gotta forgive myself." Knight Owl then got back up on his feet. "I am not Shadowbolt, I am Knight Owl. And I'm not gonna run away anymore. I'm gonna protect New York for my family!"

"Took ya long enough." Cyber-Shark said.

Arashi smiled, glad Knight Owl has forgiven himself. "Knew you can do it, buddy."

"Let's go stop Sapphire, Witcher, Techno-Pirate and Bomber Man together." Knight Owl said as he shakes Eagle's hand.

"Glad to hear it Sander." Eagle said.

"You heard Knight Owl. We have some baddies to stop," Spider-Thumper said, ready for action.

The heroes ran out of the HQ, Knight Owl was gonna catch up. "Jess, if there's... time after this crisis, can you tell Majestia... I think I like to accept that offer of joining the team."

"I'll be sure to let her know. My mom would be would be very proud of you Lang." Eagle said. "Good luck."
