This sketch is the result of a discussion I had on my Facebook page: [link]Wolverine has always been one of my fav characters so I said this as my status update: "Dear Marvel, you should allow me to draw Dark Wolverine in the style of Akuma. That would kickass."
...I should have known that I would have to put my money where my mouth is. So here it is!

This looks pretty cool though I will say is a little uncharacteristic of Daken. Where as his father is shorty and scruffy; Daken is tall and usually clean cut. Otherwise though it looks awesome and I would love to see you drawing the series.

Sorry, I don't like the claws that way. The rest of the drawing is good and I like the tattoo even though I don't think it would stay long. I think having the claws that way would make it harder to cut through things.

That's actually Daken, Wolverine's son. It's not Wolverine. He is Dark Wolverine in the Dark Avengers. His claws are just that way. Not sure exactly why, the books may explain it.

I completely agree with you. Not a very good design. I guess they wanted to distinguish him from Wolverine somehow. Kinda weird.

I think that 2 or 4 claws from the back of the hand would have been good enough. I think the tattoo and the Mohawk did a fine job of making him look different but who knows.

X23 is already draw in manga style, i think Dark Wolverine should be draw in the style of Akuma too, btw did you draw the characters for Marvel vs. Capcom 1 & 2?

I like it, but I am not feeling any akuma...I guess akuma vs ryu in drawing styles was just a more angry man, with beady pupils....since wolverine is angry all the time, something else needs to be done (other than the claws and tats, this could easly be wolverine).
Maybe once coloured, and given an aura of "dark hadou" or something, it could be an akuma'esque dark wolvie...
