Description
My intricate puddle of cosmic fantasy, once more dost lunar deity mock,
for the thirst for minor miracles breathes,
amongst the ancient burial lock,
as time has settled to die and writhe,
beyond comprehension and frivolity,
a victim of that curse'd scythe,
that once again plagues my reality.
Stellar Secrets - By me
--------------------------------------
Well, i can only progress forward, this is my second jab at space art, it's a bit better, i'm getting better, but i have a long way to go... however i'm pleased whilst constrained under the limitations of photoshop 6 as opposed to 7 (or latter). This is my second attempt at space art...
I must stress that no flaming pear filters have been used - as i'v been accused of that before and it's offending when that happens. So i'v set the record straight beforehand. The planets were rendered in cinema4d, and extra textures were implemented using photoshop 6. The landscape was rendered with terragen, usual stuff, except no sun this time to improve the transition between the elements. The rest of the space scene was purely photoshop 6. Anyone who has worked with space art knows that photoshop6 is left without many of the essential blending modes and brush features that creating a really good looking nebula requires, ps7 has these, however i do not. Hence my nebula work leaves much to be desired, however i'm trying to do my best with the tools available
I hate it when i have to do this, but i feel i must justify something about my art. Whilst occasionally pieces i create may turn out to be photo-realistic (this applies with the terragen renders mostly) - i am by no means a realist artist. If i wanted to be a realist, i would get my digi-cam, go outside and take a picture. I am a FANTASY artist, because i enjoy CREATING THINGS. They therefore do not have to look real, or posess any attributes of reality. I just perceive reality to be a beautiful thing on some occasions, and this is why i take elements of both reality and fantasy in my pictures. True, you wouldn't get planets around a nebula, maybe you would get some reflections on the water, but that's reality, this is art. I am NOT trying to make this a real image. Just to clear this up
Anyway, aside from all that babble, i hope you enjoy my art once again

u would have good reason here to expect lots of views/favs ..
one of the administrators (i forgot the name, i think devilmech or something) recently submitted something that kinda made fun of DA's flaws.. they were like " commandments of DA" haha.. anyway, one of them was that DA will deliver us from anime...
he said that he personally likes anime, but he just doesnt like that ppl who make them in 10 min expect favs and many viwes. and this.. this is good work to support his "philosophy" cuz u took many many hours to perfect this and this is a really good example of the kind of work ppl might do to have to do in order to have good reason to expect favs or lotsa views.
anyway, *jumpin the bandwagon..* " excellent work" "
haha

this IS infact ALL flaming pearl plugin work. I'm sorry but...you did not create those fake looking planets, starfields, or exploding stars. I mean cmon...look at the colors with the cheap textures and you can damn tell that it's Flaming Pearl.
Next time you should actually open us c4d.

That's a truly fantastic work. It's that kind of images you would love to hang on your wall to admire everyday.
While everything is quite well done, I find that the nebula at the top center of the image is perhaps too dense, and it's shape is not very nebula-like. The nebula at the top left is very well done. It probably could be a bit more transparent, but that's not a big deal. Another detail that caught my attention was the bright star at the very center. I don't know, the way it irradiates its light seems a tad awkward. It is quite intense at the top right, but much less intense at the bottom left. One would expect a star to irradiate its light in a more regular shape, considering its size. The Terragen part of this deviaton is very well done, and can not notice anything strange in particular myself. Excellent job!

So pretty
I've been trying (in vain) to do something like this... I just can't find the common link between terragen and the space.. It always turns out wrong. Oh well, I guess not all of us were meant to be this talented

...Thank you. That is all.
No, really, this has to be one of the most gorgeous things I've seen! I like the blue theme you've employed, and the celestial bodies turned out *very* nicely. Who cares that planets wouldn't really exist that close to nebulae--it just *works* in this piece. Very well, I might add. And if you ever get this up as a print, and I get a little cash...yeah. It's going on my wall. Most definitely. Fabulous work!!!

have a story to tell...
And small part of a poem of mine which I got reminded of when I saw this.. I've actually never been to much into this kind of art, so I can't be as constructiv critical as I'd like to be. One thing I do know for sure is that you most certainly know how to get it right!!
WELL DONE!

This rocks. I cant really find any fault in it A suggestion however for maybe a different deviation, i'm curious what it would look like if the space dust/ star scape had more of a redish theme to it. Most likely it would be much harsher looking, but i think it could be cool. And once again, may i say that this rocks?

Love the colors, i would have liked to have seen the planets blended better, the ones clostest to the terragen workings, but other then that, i like it
