Description I unintentionally made these two look alike, and due to that and Richard's age, it's possible that he's Matthew's biological father. Matthew's father walked out on him and his mom when he was little, starting a snowball effect of events leading to Matthew's current, very unhappy life. If Richard turns out to be his dad, Matthew will have some VERY choice words for him.
