Description
A lineup of EMUs waiting their turn to run at Wellington station, New Zealand. From left to right:
3 Ganz Mavags (EM/ET) - majority of current fleet, introduced in 1982.
2 English Electrics (DM/D) - built in 1938, majority retired except for 5 units that were re-introduced in 2008.
Matangi (FP/FT) - new units introduced 2010-2011. 48 units will expand the fleet size, and run on lines where the Ganz can't because of clearances and braking on steep grades.
I would have been REALLY happy if they had been parked in chronological order... some digital swapping-around may be in order!
Photo is 3 shots merged manually in Photoshop7 (it turned out better than the PhotoStitched one, or a single photo cropped to size).
