THIS SHORT STORY IS SET WHEN AMBER IS AROUND
7-9 YEARS OLD
[Idk, dramatic-ness warming?]
The storm was getting worse.
Thunderclaps sounded in the distance. Amber raced along the riverside as fast as possible, trying to get back to the cave before the worst of the storm hit.
She heard the howls of her parents calling her to them. The rain poured down relentlessly, making the riverbank slick and muddy. She spotted them, but she saw a rush of floodwater, and then she slipped on the mud, tumbling into the rapids. They pulled her under, and she felt something slam against her head, and everything went black.

Amber woke to a soft whimpering. She opened her eyes and glanced around. The back of her head was sore, and she touched it with a wince. There were six white wolves looking at her with concerned looks on their faces.
She realized she couldn’t remember.. something. She remembered she had to get back.. back to the cave. The rainstorm! Then she remembered getting swept away. And, her parents- She scrambled to her feet, and realized she had no idea where she was. The trees.. the ground.. it was all different. One of the wolves, a feathery-coated male with deep blue eyes, padded up and gave her a comforting nuzzle. This was her home now.. she was too far away to ever find her way back... if there was anything left at all.

Ok, I’m really proud of this- Amber was my very first OC, and I’m so happy to be able to bring her back. She’s my persona as she is inspired directly by myself, although she looks very different- I use the lore-less version to represent me as I definitely don’t have a backstory like that- but anyways I’m just really proud of this- apparently I can draw people now- anyway I hope y’all enjoy!

Okay, I did another one, because the ‘old’ new ref was terrible XD- didn’t look much like her tbh, so here we go, the NEW new ref- spent 2 hrs and 24 mins on this but it was worth it- and now I’m making it canon that Amber’s hair goes spiky like fur when she’s stressed bc it’s amazing- but also
