i tried drawing my self insert character in the art style of the show i (for some stupid reason) never enjoyed up until now (i seriously dont know how i found it boring)
the reasons for the two images of Ness interacting with other characters is a way to show how some may interact with her, with Finn becoming "soul-searchy and weird" and Marshall joking around with her like a friend.
the top right image is because i can 100% see Ness being stupid and wishing to take the Lich's powers because "there needs to be balance, there cannot be death without life, and life without death"

.... which is kind of ironic since she has become power hungry and a tad bit mad ever since she was thrown into the a universe where dimensions are endless and fiction is reality, but anyway, thats a story for another time.
point is, shes starting to lose it from not being able to get back to her home world and its starting to take a mental toll on her and make her choices seem really all over the place.

a bit more info about her choices is she chose to save a girl from another universe and make her a little sister (Sirin from Honkai Impact), she also has a pet raccoon that wont leave her side (raised as a little baby, and her name is Lily uwu) and tame a hell hound that she found on the street (Lucifer, hes a very good boi and enjoys belly rubs, also Ness was able to make him an official service dog to help manage her anxiety)
also at some point she was used as vampire feed, so in my style, shed have scars on her neck.... and three freckles on the right side of her mouth (which would look like its on the left side since the character is facing "us" in a technical way i guess?) ALSO, after a few very specific roleplays, Ness is a herrscher, much like Sirin, was a dead apostle at one point (thanks Nasuverse, you're confusing as ever) and had been skewered by an Other (thanks to my bf for getting me into GOT... he is the reason why Centauri exists and i love him for it) twice.. shes an always changing character, and with all the worlds she has been to so far, shes only really surviving out of pure luck at this point, even with her travelling with a cosmic horror for a friend (said horror used to be human but wished to become a cosmic horror. P.S i did not make him, he is my boyfriend's self insert)

...... i need to draw my other OCs again.... like... bad.... i've been neglecting them so much...
