The human mind is know to implement recursion in how it thinks and processes many things. One example that I think I have come up with is humor. There are many layers to humor, so the brain must process jokes many times in some cases. Also, recursive humor (note that this is a different idea from the recursive nature of humor) can be very funny. A joke or pun can contain a joke or pun that references itself would be a recursive joke. I may have an example to share.

"If you thought that joke about Segways was funny, wait until you hear my next joke! Speaking of Segways..."
