Aimi chuckled to herself and straightened out her blouse. Time for the moment of truth. She pressed the "1" key on her laptop.

HISS!

She let out a startled gasp at the sound of the clone vat door opening. Dramatically, a cloud of cryo steam billowed over the lab floor. Aimi rushed behind the furthest clone vat and observed the scene from a distance. The cloning algorithm she developed was meant to generate an identical copy of herself, with the same memories and personality, but even she didn't know how she would react in seeing her doppelgänger.

The cloud was clearing away, and she held her breath as her clone gently stepped out into her new world. She was Aimi in every way, beyond her appearance. She had the same body composure and walking gait, but most importantly, she shared Aimi's boundless curiosity. Aimi's clone studied her hands and ran her fingers through her hair, and even looked down in her shirt to see if she still had her glorious breasts. Suddenly, Aimi's clone sharply turned her head towards her direction. She slinked back at the right moment, hoping that her clone wouldn't notice her through the glass wall of the vat. But the other Aimi was too captivated by everything around her. She bobbed her head in wonder at her clones in their vats, and glanced at Aimi's lab desk. Her lab desk.

"My, my, it works." Aimi heard her clone say to herself, with an elated sigh. That was her cue.

She shyly stepped out, and her clone locked eyes with her. For the first time, Aimi noticed that she had such a beautiful smile.
