Description
The Labuan class aircraft carrier is the last carrier designed and built for the Royal Malaccan Navy during the Second World War. Her class was ordered under the 1941 Naval Expansion Programe. She resembles the British Royal Navy's Illustrious class aircraft carrier due to the fact she is based of the British carrier's design. This is due to the Malacca and Britain having a treaty which allowed both nations to look and copy each others designs and technologies. The Royal Malaccan Navy made and order for 5 carriers however only three were built, Labuan, Penang and Singapura. The remaining two were half built by the time the war ended and were used as target practice instead.General characteristics:
