This gene can be expressed minimally (covering only 10% of the horse) or maximally (covering approximately 80% of the horse). The white variant of this gene appears to be more dominant than the reversed variation of this mutation - meaning that it often appears above but it does not seem to be a hard rule though no one has been able to discern as to why that is.
