"Another Crocodile Smirk"

Crocodylus porosus. A digital painting I did recently of a saltwater crocodile.

I did the pencil sketch of this in class last fall and decided to color it up when my recent Baba Yaga painting was nearing completion. I experimented with a slightly different way to depict the various skin textures of the croc with some custom brushed I acquired over the years for Photoshop and the layer options of Photoshop. The only photo texture I used was for the water ripples immediately around the crocodile's neck. The rest were painted with random custom brushes.

Completed mid June 2018.
