Description

Beachcomber was done in gouache, with shading applied with watercolour. The background and foreground are also watercolour. The watercolour was a bit strange to work with; the wet colours were not as fuzzy as I expected them to be (on the left, there's no fuzziness between the sky and the sea)

I'm starting to think part of the issue may be the size I work with; if I worked smaller, managing the wateriness of the paints would probably be less of a hassle. Oh well -- lesson for next time!
