Amaris went through a pretty big overall in design. Her original design was more... idk, warrior like? As she was developed, she kinda went from "tomboy under the pretty face" to someone who uses her "delicate" appearance to lure opponents into a false sense of security.Then she breaks their face with a punch.
Yes, she has a Mulan moment and cuts off her hair. Also, since she spent a lot more time in the sun, and out of Abyss, her skin tanned slightly.
