Ever since I can remember, my parents' house has been full of books. Encyclopedias, romances, history, adventures, travels, you name it. Of course, Asterix comics have been part of those, as well. Although I don't remember reading many comics as a child (apart from Monica's Gang , which was very popular in Portugal as I was growing up), I do remember skipping through Asterix's books (and Tintin's, for that matter), to look at the pictures.

Learning about Uderzo 's passing this week has, off course, brought these memories back. And what better way to pay my respects and clear my head than to draw Astérix, Obélix et Idéfix (or, as I just recently learned it is called in English, Dogmatix)?

I had never drawn these characters before, so I am pretty happy with the outcome. Also, this particular style allowed me to play around with the "line width" function of Clip Studio Paint, which was pretty cool.
