Ah, well, actually this is all practical effects. First, we took a paraffin mold cast of a volunteer model's forearms and face. Then we used that as a base to modify one of the fat suits that was used in the making of The Nutty Professor. Then we discovered that the interior of the suit had become home to a family of opossums and millions of ants and threw it out. The final step was to find a real person capable of swallowing a human being whole. Unfortunately, the actress we found was a bit too eager and ended up swallowing our unpaid intern/stunt-woman during a practice take, without the camera actually rolling. So, we just took this still photo and used Photoshop to slap a pair of legs sticking out of the actress's mouth.
