Isha and Ash entered the cave, shaking off the snowflakes that gathered on their backs. Inside, Raven had found a corner to lay down next to. Summer and Una were talking and Mona and Nuala were playing. As soon as Mona noticed the pair had walked in, she trotted up to them.
”Raven seems to be setting in okay. She’s a bit distant though..”
”Well I’m not surprised,” Ash replied. “She doesn’t know us. Plus she’s obviously very tired and weak so she’s vulnerable. Just give her some space, okay?”
Mona nodded and returned to the others. Then Nuala noticed Raven in the corner. She watched her for a moment before slowly walking up to her. Una called to her foal, but was ignored.
”Hi.” Nuala said, surprising Raven who had obviously been lost in thought.
“Oh, hello.”
”How are you?”
Raven smiled at the innocent filly. “I’m okay.”
”Why were you alone?”
”Nuala!” Una scolded, but was cut off by Raven.
”No, its okay. I don’t mind. Well, I use to be in a herd. It was quite a nice herd. Our lead was a strong leader. Something happened and... I was separated. And not too long after that, you guys found me. Which I am very grateful for.”
Nuala smiled, happy with that answer.
“I’m glad we found you. We can be your new herd! Were really nice, I promise.”
Raven chuckled. “Is that so?”
“Yea! When my mom and I were separated from our herd, we found momma’s friend, then Isha took us in!”
Raven’s smile then disappeared slightly and was quiet for a moment.
”Isha isn’t your daddy?” She asked.
”No.. My daddy was taken by humans. But Isha is like a second dad! He’s super cool and strong and nice.”
Raven was once again silent for a moment, then Nuala yawned and Una called to her filly, who sleepily laid down around her legs.
Everyone then began to fall asleep, lastly was Raven. Worries troubled her, but soon joined the rest of the herd in a dreamless sleep.
