Description
Zou gazed at the grey and cloudy sky above him.He disliked how everything seemed lifeless in this frozen wasteland that he called "home".A small boy named Tariq approached him slowly.Tariq felt very exhausted from training hard as he could.He didn't want to disturb the giant but he was left with no choice to do so.

Tariq reached for the man's robe and tugged on it a couple of times to get his attention.It didn't work so well as he thought.He then goes for his hand.Tariq held Zou's fingers gently."Zou..Mr.Zou..I'm tired can we go home?" Tariq asked very politely with the energy he has left.

Zou's eyes grew wide as soon as Tariq held his fingers.The man felt a familiar warmth he remembered from so many years ago.Tariq's voice sounded distant as Zou closed his eyes to recall a memory that was considered precious to him.

Years ago during the time of his youth.It was a was a cool and pleasant morning.Zou stood upon a tall and grassy hill.A odd colored baby Pidgey his father rescued perched and rested on his hand.It was time for the young bird to fly high into the sky.Just as he was about to let the bird go,his sister Lenmana grabbed his hand.

"Big brother..How come that Pidgey is different from the other Pidgey we saw?Won't it get picked on because it's different?" Lenmana asked with great concern for the young Pidgey.
"Well..Sis..This little Pidgey is um..Special..I could say..." Zou wasn't quite sure how to answer his sister's concerned question for the young bird.He knew how much she cared for the Pidgey and she loved how it was "different" from the rest.He remembered what his wise father said to him about being different from everyone else.
"As you see sis..Every creature,man,woman,and child are different in their own way.Not all creatures are actually the same.Our lives would be dull if we were all the same.Do not worry..The Pigey will grow into a fine and mighty Pidgeot someday!" Zou reassured his sister.

"Oh!I see now!Heehee..Well then you're special too and you know what big brother..You're going to become a really great person one day!Why you'll be even greater than Daddy!" She giggled happily at her older sibling.
Zou blushed at his sister's remark.He never regarded what his sister thought of him.He reacted by simply smiling at the sweet little girl.She smiled right back at him.

The sun radiated a warming light from the sky above them.Zou lifted his hand and woke the sleeping Pidgey.It looked around for a moment,then the bird took flight and flew into the great horizon.Both brother and sister stood side by side as they make small glances at the sky.Both thinking of what their future lies ahead...

Zou woke up from his flashback.It happened so quickly.It felt like was actually there with his sister one last time.He realized he was daydreaming and noticed young Tariq tried to get his attention.
"I'm sorry little one..My mind was elsewhere.." Zou finally spoke to Tariq as he picked the young boy up and placed the boy on his neck.
"What were you thinking about?" The young boy asked with a sleepy tone in his voice.
"Actually who..It was someone I used to know."Zou answered Tariq as he carried him.The child quietly fell asleep on the back of Zou's head.
Zou smiled as they headed home.The young boy reminded Zou so much of his sister.He felt heartbroken that she was gone but a part of her was still there.Zou enjoyed Tariq's company.It made his sadness and loneliness fade away.He felt happy again for the first time of his lonesome life..

"Someday I'll tell you about them..My nephew..But right now it's not the time.Forgive me..I fear the tragedy of your parents deaths may be too much for you..I promised your mother I will be there for you until my body grows weak and my soul descends into the heavens..I won't ever break this promise.."

Whew!My goodness this took quite a while than I thought it would take!At least it was worth the time coloring and editing here and there .
Honestly I had a lot of fun coloring and experimenting on this.For some odd reason..This makes me smile..

So here we have a small flashback Zou is recalling during the time Tariq was still a small boy.This flashback occurred before all of terrible events happened..I decided to write a somewhat short story describing the small but important events (even though I'm not good at writing but it was worth trying out every once in a while).
