Welcome to our new group, ! This group focuses on the ancient cultures all over the world. To help kick things off here, we are going to hold a contest where you can win PM's, points, and other prizes.

The contest theme will be " Gods & Goddesses ". You can only submit one entry of visual art ( sorry, no literature), so try to make it a good one! You can choose to portray one god or goddess, or include one of each in your entry if you like.

Rules of the Contest:

1. You MUST be a member of the group to enter the contest

2. Only ONE ENTRY per person is permitted. You MUST have an account on DA that is at least 2 months old. Any account created after the date this contest began will not be qualified for entry.

3. This entry must be a new work, created solely for the purpose of this contest. Please, do not post any old works.

4. You will create ONE visual artwork with either a god or goddess ( or both ) that hails from any one of the ancient cultures listed in the group ( please see the album section ). The work can be in any visual medium ( traditional, digital, photography, etc.) . SORRY, but no Literature works will be accepted. * also, please add a small bit of info in your deviation description about the god or goddess you've chosen for your entry.

5. The work must be original and your own work. Anyone caught posting another artists work will be disqualified from the contest as well as removed from the group.

6. Entry must be received by midnight, APRIL 18th, 2014. I'm setting a nearly 2 month date for this to allow enough time to gather an idea and give everyone plenty of time for their work

7. Please submit your entry into the contest folder marked " Gods n Goddesses 2014 ".

If your country does not allow the import of things like drawing supplies, please realize I will not be able to send that part of the prize to you if you should win. I will check the customs laws for any winning entrant who lives outside of the states before shipping.
