Indigo: *you see one memory very clearly, they're going in chronological order so this must be the first defining memory, he's around twelve, arguing with some people about being left out, from his memories you see that most people he was 'friends' with tended to leave him out, he just wanted to go with them to dancetale but again they shut him down, he decides to teleport but messes up badly and ends up in undertail, unbeknownst to him at the time...*
(hoo boy his history is a LOOONG one... should I be saving this for the ask blog? NAAAHHH)

Indigo: Ain't my friends anymore, I was just a lonely kid *the memory keeps going to indigo's dissatisfaction, it shows him immediately knowing something isn't right and walking into two figures, they both try and pin him too the floor and just as they try to start undressing him they're stopped by a sans, later revealed to be undertail sans, he's kind to indigo, making sure he's okay and even helping him get back to the antivoid, offering him a job in the process and as Indi had little to no social life and as the guy had just (literally) saved his butt he graciously accepted* ...God I was stupid *he chuckles half heartedly*

Indigo: No it was too kind and his body language was... off, I shoulda known better *his memories continue, showing him at first training to fight, then being told to steal, at first he's against it but is convinced after a while to (reluctantly) do it, it shows him doing it a few times before on one job things go wrong and he get's beaten up and tortured until his hp hits zero* ...I remember this. It hurt... *as he starts to dust time seems to slow, he's approached by another being, seemingly another sans who offers to save his life if he agrees to work for him. Indi, scared accepts and signs a loooong contract. The figure, Bill sans or Bins, being a sans possessed by a demon (bill cypher, YAAAY crossovers) dusts the rest without a second thought and before resuming time splits indigo's soul in half then vanishes just as he arrived...*

Chibi: so that's what happened... So it him how has the contract... Wait if I can find a way to find him I may be able to get your other soul back! There has to be a way! This world has many loop hole and a lot of them are was to destroy what they made! I know you'll say no because it's dangerous but I have powerful people on my side! Please I want to help you out!

Indigo: it's more complicated than that, at the time I had no idea I signed away my life to a demon who ain't even from this dimension, demons are powerful, in reality or in the mind, besides, he was in leagues with Tail that I didn't even know about, they were planning this for a while, tail saw my potential and he was right, I was strong and naive, I was his star student, sorta, with the correct manipulation I coulda been a force to be reckoned with, not anything too special, but I had a sort off 'determination', if you will, unusual to us sanses with the same raw magical energy which inhibits out physical form but makes us dangerous opponents, and I was right under their thumb

Chibi: hmm... Maybe I could talk to them I mean I could kinda tell BB was okay with me after many things maybe I have a stronger mind then most... Indigo: *he shrugs* well BB is me *the memories continue, he gets introduced by another 'handler' swapfell and by the combined efforts of the three of them slowly gets pushed into doing things he doesn't like and realises that they're keeping tabs on what he's doing, forcing him to isolate himself from his family, until eventually he's pushed into murder, he refuses and as punishment gets tortured by the people he once trusted, killing the person out of pain, fear and betrayal. He isolates himself more and more after this. He stays placid for a while but on one occasion he refuses to kill another innocent person who fell into debt of one of the three despite all the torture, he's eventually let go...*

Indigo: *he looks down at his soul, slightly scared* please, just stop here... *the soul continues on with the memories, he's on another smaller job but gets ambushed and hurt pretty bad, swapfell (who so far has been the most ruthless to Indi) watches and mock him when he asks for help, dragging him into the trees and taking advantage of him (to put it as gently as possible)...* ...*indigo tears up a bit* d-didn't need to relive that one... heh...

Indigo: yeah... *everything seems to slowly get worse, the punishments he receives getting harsher and harsher, he get forced to do worse and worse thing and he's shown repeatedly trying to kill himself only to be bought back by bins, along the way BB shows up and he's more benevolent to him than the rest, having some sort of grudge against him, finding any excuse to 'punish' him, it comes to a point where indigo meets chibi and is shown as a little happier, trying his hardest to keep it together for him*
(in cannon I'm thinking BB doesn't show up till way later)
