This is a unique cosplay I created inspired by the Canadian musician Lights new single Prodigal Daughter. Prodigal Daughter means " a person who spends money in a recklessly extravagant way". The song is all about a comeback. It celebrates being a strong female; embracing your body, sexuality, career and beliefs. The past two years I have gone through an insane amount of pain, suffering but also growth. This song is my new anthem! For so long I was lost..doubting myself, constantly comparing myself to others. I knew deep down I had fight in me and it came out this past winter as I fell to rock bottom. I was injured, my mental health deteriorated, friendships ended, tensions with family rose and a partner decided I was too much for him and left me...I was completely broken. Heart shattered in pieces but I mustered up the strength to help myself and pick myself back up off the ground. I think no matter what this world throws at me now, I can handle it. The world has bullied me, doubted me, left me battered and bruised but I will not stand down. I'm ready for the fight. I will always get back up!! This girl will always fight the fight!!!
