omg this is really cute, i really love the comic style and the designs, i have a tendency to make mine look too simplified in a chibi style but your style still holds a lot of the important details of their design, also the mutos kinda look like cool alien killer whales (that's a good thing) good job

This explains everything! Godzilla wasn't the apex predator going after the lower members of the food chain. He was just pissed off and sleep deprived. That explains why he slept for over 8 hours at the end of the movie. Makes total sense!
