Description

I have created a sigil for climate and environmental protection (for the whole earth). Like with my Social Justice Sigil, I combined two methods:

1. The one where you take the letters of a word or phrase, delete double letters and form a pattern with the letters.

2. Laura Tempest Zakroff’s method which is based on using universal and often ancient shapes, symbols or signs which have specific meanings, for instance in folklore. I can recommend Laura’s book »Sigil Witchery – A Witch’s Guide to Crafting Magickal Symbols «, if you are interested in that.

Here is what went into the sigil:

The following words: Biodiversity, Climate, Enviroment, Protection

A circle, which can stand for a whole lot of things, in this case our planet earth and wholeness.

The triangle symbols of the four elements earth, water, fire and air. The upper two can also represent islands, mountains and hills, whereas the lower ones may stand for the depths of the sea.

In the middle of these, I placed the letter »O« which also forms a wheel. This can stand for progress as well as cycles.

I made a long vertical line with the letter »I«, combining it with the letters »Y« and »V«, to form an arrow which is pointing downward, for successful actions.

The big horizontally lying letter »S« can also stand for a snake, in this case a symbol for healing and rebirth.

There is a circle of dots which in this case stand for four different things: seeds, which symbolize growth, stones/rocks and the trails of animals and humans as they wander on the earth.

Waves, a symbol for transformation, flow, change and also a symbol for oceans, rivers, lakes …
