I bet he's thinking about how a lot of people fail to research on pets before buying them and the most common pet that dies because of that are fish. It upsets me. Goldfish don't belong in bowls, they need fish tanks with air pumps and daily water changes. Makes me cry. D:

Im ashamed to say they were in bowls but i loved mine, fed them at 7am and 7pm everyday, cleaned their water once a week and even talked to them O_o

Awww. Well ALWAYS research on a pet before buying it and it'll prevent unneeded death and suffering~
Cleaning water once a week never suffices for a bowl. Besides goldfish run out of oxygen in a bowl in one day. They need air pumps. Tanks are better because you can do partial water changes. Complete water changes puts the fish into shock. I say 5% every day in a tank. And goldfish should be fed food several times a day, taking care not to overfeed. If you love goldfish so much, you have to research on how to take better care. These are lives being lost, and their lives aren't any less than any other pet.

Do you people know that the goldfish lifespan is more than 20 years? Betta fish live 5 years or more.

DDD: I cried when my Betas died! ;.; I burried them, too. I don't believe in flushing fish. >.>; Something dear enough to me to invoke such emotion should not go down the crapper. But I completely empathize with you TT3TT
