It's time for him to come out of the shadows! Dr. Light's truly first Robot Master Proto Man joins his brother Mega Man fighting for peace alongside other fighters in Nintendo vs. Capcom!Side: Capcom

INTRO POSE: Proto Man's iconic whistle is heard, before Proto Man teleports onscreen in a beam of light, with his back turned to the camera. Proto Man then turns around and aims his Proto Buster forward

> Proto Buster (hold H, can be charged three levels, Air OK) [SNvC Update]
> Triple Blade [SNvC Update]
> Solar Blaze [SNvC Update]
> Proto Shield (this attack reflects projectiles) [SNvC Update]
> Water Shield [SNvC Update]
> Chill Spike (can be used three times consecutively) [SNvC Update]
> Hard Knuckle [SNvC Update]
> Freeze Cracker (In air)

HYPER COMBOS:
> Proto Strike - Proto Man charges up his Buster before firing a powerful beam of yellow energy from it.
> Shield Barrage - A much more powerful version of the Proto Shield, Proto Man dashes across the stage using his shield, continuously smashing into the opponent and causing a major amount of damage. Last hit causes a powerful knockback.
> Beat Assist - With a quick whistle, Proto Man calls in Beat to assist him. Every time the attack button is pressed, Beat will attack the opponent. He does a spinning dash attack that goes some distance OTG. This attack lasts for 10 seconds.
> Big Bang Strike (Level 3) - Proto Man fires some blue gel from his Proto Buster. If it hits the opponent, the opponent will then suddenly be covered by the blue gel before it freezes him/her solid. Meanwhile, Proto Man stands far as he starts to charge up power in his core before rushing at the opponent. As soon as he is near the opponent, time will suddenly slow down. Suddenly, both Proto Man and the opponent are engulfed in a giant explosion of energy that inflicts instant heavy damage to the opponent.
CROSSOVER ASSIST ATTACKS:
α: Triple Blade
β: Hard Knuckle
γ: Chill Spike
VICTORY POSE: Proto Man turns his back to the opponent, his scarf blowing in the wind, before vanishing in a beam of red light
