Description
Commissioned painting. The aim was to portray a magical forest. I drew inspirations from a lot of places but I believe Fangorn and Sintra, fictional and real, are what influenced me the most. I love forests...fantasy is inherent to them. I don't know if it's the green tones, the wind blowing through the trees or the fresh air...there is just something special about them.I also took a lot of inspiration from the beautiful paintings by master painter Peder Mork Monsted

Really nice work. The balance of detail from low to high, front to back is handled very well.

Great! I spent many of the first years of my life near a forest and I to found them very grand places to explore in in all four seasons and as a writer I to was drawn into including them in my work. Also, a great place to read when you just wanted quite from the "busy" world outside of them like reading the Hobbit for one.

THis is truly fantastic my friend, congratulations for the imagination and the painting skills you are showing off with this piece of art. Yes it does have the Fangorn-feel and the wizard in the backlight gives depth and perspective to the canvas.

love it. I never can get that feel of the forest. There's something about misty woods that I adore.
