MADJAM is a year-long, Edmonton-based event made up of quarterly game jams. Each associated to a local or global gaming event like the Global Game Jam, GDX, K-Days, and Extra Life Edmonton's 24-Hour Gaming Marathon. Participation is not restricted; anyone is welcome to register and attend any one or all of the events.
At its core, MADJAM is about fostering growth in the Edmonton game development community. Edmonton is quickly becoming the heart of game development in the Canadian prairies with studios like Bioware (Dragon Age, Mass Effect) and XGen Studios (Super Motherload) reaching critical acclaim with their fantastic games. Indie game development has also taken root in Edmonton, Alberta with groups like Gamecamp Edmonton and GDX presenting opportunities for local game developers to meet and create amazing games. MADJAM will bring together this incredible diversity and help forge new connections between game devs in the Edmonton region.

IF YOU'RE IN OR NEAR EDMONTON, YOU CAN GET EARLY BIRD TICKETS ON INDIEGOGO RIGHT NOW! EARLY BIRD TICKETS WILL ONLY BE AVAILABLE UNTIL APRIL 15TH!

The next event is one week long and starts on April 25th at the University of Alberta. If you don't think you'll have time to participate in the game jam aspect of the event, you can still get early bird tickets to get access to the 14+ speakers we plan on having that week!
