That was actually a refreshingly excellent movie! I was desperately hoping that it wouldn't become another "Save the Environment" Happy Feet-esque film, and was glad to see that it didn't borrow that idea, as most viewers seemed to think it would. And it even did it without making many pop culture references! (Note: Nothing against the environmental messages in Happy Feet. I liked them, in fact; but I hate it when an animated film directly copies from its predecessor.)
I must favorite this! I love the lineless style you used, as well.

After running Happy Feet for umpteen weeks, I never got sick of it. And I DO intend to see Surf's Up, even if I have to go alone!!!! It looks like a beautiful movie, even if it is predictable.

I wasn't too stoked to see this movie at first. Cuz I mean, Shia LeBouf has had ENOUGH publicity, no? Transformers, Disturbia, etc. But I was dragged to it by a group of friends and I was pretty surprised. I mean, it was obvious where the plot was going, but it had awesome characters (especially the Chicken and his running gag with the '
Love your depict on Mikey. He's so thin you can BARELY see his legs. And you showed Tank's "manliness" VERY well. I adore the tattoo-like markings on him.
Also, James Woods = Reggie. LOL. Genius. Good work, Sony Animation. 8D

Shia LeBouf is actually STARTING his big career, so you'd better get used to him. Before his films, all he had going for him was that role on Even Stevens, and gradually started to gain more attention. Transformers, Surf's Up, and the upcoming Indian Jones 4 are his first big breaks.

I was pleasantly surprised. The plot gets VERY predictable by the middle, but hey, the film still makes you want to watch it and see how it presents the ending! Plus, there're not too many characters, and the mockumentary style gives it a fresh edge (the characters actually curse a few times).

AHHHH this is such a freakin cute vector art of these characters! You make me think it might be worth it to pay $10 and see this movie. The penguin on the far right is HOT, I love the details you did playing with the border between his belly feathers and his black ones, and that bullet shaped head makes him look like an athlete. IF I WAS A LADY PENGUIN I WOULD TAP THAT. XD Good job!
