It could have been anyone with any camera and the people would still have been happy to pose for portraits. I was told that some of the locals were wanting their picture taken with westerners. The culture is so different out there that any non-native would attract attention. The best thing is seeing the subject smile after I showed them the result. The children were the most animated when seeing themselves on the LCD. I happily obliged to take the shots. It does put a whole new perspective on how different our lives are.
