well this is a 3 way collabo between my lineart and colouring, and the graff stylings of AltOne and 30DZbest friends make the best collaborations i guess.
its a rollerblading piece so i tried to get the fisheye lens distortion going on - its a bitch tho and i won't be trying it again for a while.
also, i didn't really include any definable light source cause i lit it for design not realism....its not big and its not clever i know :/
anyways, im out.

this actually ended up much brighter than i had intended it to be, i was going for a more grittier, dirty street scene like some of the other work ive been doing but then decided to make a brighter one. i am fickle lol

Your friend did such a bang up job with the backround to, and the skater looks like one of the fellas from the b-unique videos. Great illustration here like Ive pretty much come to expect from you Andy.

no this one isn't for be-mag. i love the background too..my friends gave me some pieces and i arranged them together to make one big piece. it came out much different to how i thought it would tho.
and yeah, the pose is from Brian Allen in 1131 - ive been watching that alot to get pose reference because they have alot of good shots.

Yeah the non-skating shots in thier movies are so high quality, it looks like something out of a skateboarding movie with an actual budget or something. Just wish they wouldnt mix in all the skating shots filmed with diffrent cameras by people that dont know how to film.

yeah i was thinking that the other day. the editing is amazing and the general production of them is top-notch but some of the skating does get a little boring the way its filmed. but they do have the best looking videos by far out of anyone.
altho, the hype is starting over the Esoteric DVD now, that could be a classic

actually these are just rollerblades: Razors, Shima 05 pro model- but they are soft boot construction so they have trainer-esque parts

I love the colouring and the guy's pose....it's great.
I've also tried to give the fisheye lens distortion in some of my skeches and I can tell you : It's so fuckin' HARD!!!

yeah the fisheye distortion is really tricky because everything curves near the edges...but also this increases the closer the objects are to the viewer :/ im not doing another one like this for a while till ive got my head around it properly
