It's been sooo long since I've been on DA... My computer and scanner have been down...;;;; Anyway I did a pic with a bg. yaay. now may I never ever do one again, 'cause it killed a lot of my markers~ The scan made the white stand out too much, but on the original, it was much more subdued.ah, the character is Lilas again. This picture actually has meaning and I'm curious as to what other people think's going on in it.

Once again, I blame the horrible quality of colors on my scanner...
medium: Prismacolor Markers, Sakura Microns, a couple Prismacolor ColoredPencils, White Gel Pen, and a lot of random color pencils I found.

No, really, what on earth are you on about?! The colours look so gorgeous and vibrant! I quite envy your scanner actually.
I was utterly shocked that this was traditional art. From the thumbnail and even up close, it's so smooth I thought it had to be digitial.
I love the mix of twilight colours in the sky. They blend beautifully and the pale blue clouds and bright yellow stars work very well.
Her skin tone looks so soft and even, the subtle shades and highlights make the picture look all the more velvety and dream-like.
The red inking on those clouds is an interesting touch. It's not something I would have thought of, but it looks great!
Love the swirlies and ribbon designs throughout. It's as if she's falling from the sky, or being captured by it. I really like the composition too, it's an excellent piece overall!:3

Beautiful. Don't stop doing backgrounds because your scanner sucks, mosts scanners suck. I don't know how it looked before (probably better based on what you said) but the background looks amazing here.

in some way it looks like she's being pushed to the "ground" humm the effect of "falling" is really beautifull in this pic with all the stars, clouds and that "thing" is holding her
