Description
Seeing the surface of the water
Through it’s murky being
I can see the corrupted refraction of the moon
Swirling and stretching
Wafting over the broken skin of water

The liquid, green and obscure
Pressing on my body, my soul
Slowly, distorting my thoughts
Turning my own mind into something
Disfigured beyond recognition

As the fluid starts moving
Taking me in its own direction
I try to fight, lashing out,
Each swing just speeding up my descent
Lower and lower, further down I plunge

The moon is no longer visible
Under the mass of green
No longer can I see its misshapen being
No longer does the light give me hope
There is no hope
No hope
For where I am
No one escapes
