Description
Julian DuPont belongs to *painted-beesIts been a while since I wanted to doodle Julian. There is some tarot/astrology mumbo jumbo there too, and if you're like me and actually like this stuff there's a spoiler-free explanation for it below.
So.
Julian is usually depicted as a tired/weak/worried/depressed fella, but after reading his Wiki entry and some bits on the author's original story, I felt like taking a slightly different course and correlate his actions and personality to the Strength tarot card.
Wikipedia, help me:
"Some common keywords for this card are: Self-control, Patience, Compassion, Composure, Stability, Perseverance, Moderation, Kindness, Gentleness, Slowness, Softness, Serenity, Comprehension, Discipline, Inner strength."
"The modern interpretation of the card stresses discipline and control. The lion represents the primal or id-like part of the mind, and the woman, the 'higher' or more elevated parts of the mind. The card tells the Querent to be wary of base emotions and impulse. (...) In Strength, the battle is mainly internal rather than external."
Oh and this card can also be associated with Leo, which is known for being a social, magnanimous sign, SO AS JULIAN oh em gee.
@*painted-bees - This is just my interpretation, feel free to bash me if anything feels utterly wrong 8D

I'm not sure of anything (specially after taking so many liberties with her character XD). All I know is that there are some amazing entries there so far!
Yours is one of my favs btw, Julian seems at the peak of exhaustion; I thought it was very expressive.

yeah thanks you, she and her band of chickettes talk about him all the time so i had some insight in to the character. but i like the fact that you have taken a new view on the character, more of a boy fight with life than an old man holding the world on his back.
I am flattered that you liked my image.
cheers

wow this is stunning :3
For some reason I can't find what "Soothsayer of Pontis" is.
Is it a book, a game or??? Even the WIKI doesn't say... it just assume we already know O_o

Thank you! <3
Ah, sorry for not being too specific
The Soothsayer of Pontis is *painted-bees 's original story. I don't think there is anything published yet (nor if the author intends to), but jazreet911's link has some of its chapters. :>
And that's pretty much all I know about it XD

Holyfuck.
All I saw was Julian wrestling a lion, and my mind exploded. Reading the description, this is hella freaking rad! I love the research you put into this.I--don't even know how to react. But I like this.
A lot. Good god damn.

Well it was super fun to read through your Soothsayer Wiki for information. Your story is pure awesome sauce too, I'd love to see something from it being published someday! :>
I'm glad you liked this, thanks! *-*
