poor me I'm already getting lists of cameras she is interested in and lenses and blah blah blah ...damn its all freaking expensive I keep showing her your iphone pics and telling her that that is all she really needs Nah seriously I'm not sure which way she wants to go just yet. She adores your pics and likes your style She begins dark room photography next semester and shes soooo excited

Hey that's great...traditional dark room using chemicals or modern darkroom (lightroom with computer)? Either is great...but I think all who want to pursue photography should take a class in traditional darkroom. They really get the foundational teachings of this art in a 3-D experience not a virtual

I know equipment is expensive. When I was in college I found ways to off-set some of the costs by photographing groups on campus. For example sporting team photos, theater cast photos for upcoming plays, musicians and of course pretty girls who had an interest in modeling and needed head-shots. She should give this a thought. Plus you should consider used lenses. But I would get her a new camera. Too many things could be wrong with the ones for sale on e-bay but lenses not much can go wrong with them.

her reaction to the iphone suggestion was more this Yeah she is doing traditional dark room the college she is at offers it as part of the visual arts curriculum she is enrolled in thank you so much for your advice she will be the first professional photographer in our family so its all new to us and I cant advise her through experience..so thank you sweetie I will show her your message She has already been approached by the school to organise the promotion for the highschool musical she is organising the whole bit, photographs, graphic design for posters and some sort of video for the school internet site shes a whizz with all that stuff ...hmmm def dont take after me in that dept I hope she doesnt lose her passion for it you know what teenagers are like hugs to you

yeah she is a "doer" without a doubt She hasn't got a DA page yet she wants to wait until we get settled into our own home again and get our home PC back from the insurance company as she has all her editing programmes on that I will introduce everyone to her when she does
