Angel began to feel more confident with letting Chomper out earlier in the day, after seeing that progress had been made. Of course, she still kept a close eye on him from a distance. Watching him filled with curiosity sniffing at the grass, the bushes and the air, afterwards letting out a satisfied grunt on his exploration. Raising his hind foot, then scratched his head.
She couldn't help but let out a little chuckle at the scene. Entertained how after a while he started to show a little goofy side.
Finishing scratching his head he maneuvered his focus on Angel and slowly started to approach her.
Noticing this Angel took a few steps back in caution whenever he came closer…
But then, he stopped.
He held his head forward letting out a deep, gurgling purr..A specific sound she had never heard from him before.
Surprised at this she still stayed wary.
But carefully, pulled up her hand, slowly moving it toward Chomper.
At first there was hesitance and she reeled it back once he let out a grunt.
Trying again she placed the hand on the Tyrunts head..Chomper gently then pushed into it while continuing to purr.
A warm smile stretched across her face..Soon mimicking the same and slowly pressing her head against Chompers, closing her eyes.
Something about this feels as if it’s time to take further steps into a new direction.

“..We’re one step closer, bud. We just have to take on the second gym..You are more than welcome to participate, if you want. If not, that’s perfectly okay with you.”
She says, slowly opening back her eyes to watch his response.

It took a moment, but Chomper let out a louder purr mixed with a confirmed grunt. Pressing into Angel as a sign of approval to participating.

“Alright then, haha. Then we’ll get prepared for it.”
