Looking good; however, it could still use some work to make it blend with the Windows 7 UI. A source code release would also be quite nice. By the way: kudos for jumping on Windows 8-themed tweaks so swiftly.

very nice work...just work on the design and colours of the pop-up and its perfect...my look should be "User Accounts" and my settings should be "Control Panel" as they do not change the look or settings of the program but rather link to the windows control instead.
maybe go for a transparent look and remove that grey border at the top

On windows 7 64 bit I had to enable view all system tray icons before it was able to show right if I did not do that it would show only half the icon and would not click also its the wrong side of the Show Desktop Icon it sets its self on the right of that icon but part from that it kinda works maybe adding theme support be nice.

For some people it might work this is the hole point in posting the bugs and errors it says its a alpha not even a beta there are faults with it sorry but saying or it works fine here means nothing I tested it and gave my feedback what is fact.
A few other things that could be noted in my install, I have a custom theme installed so the theme dll is patched.
programs also loaded in my system tray are my AV, and Drop box that are aways there.
Restarting the computer made t able to load in the right place but it should be able to seed its pace in the right place the first time.
I like to ask the programmer how did you load the imae in the bar like that? I am making a app for my partner and I would love to add a image down in the bar like that, the program is not a user app its a book record app and having it there would make it better

Funny thing is all the image people are using for windows 8 are based off the CE show they went to but they said very bluntly only the CORE was windiows 8 the was using the windows 7 theme just to get there tests at CE there not ready for any releace of the UI as of yet we all have snipiets and I am getting little peed at them kinda people saying they have it but when you can say I have a theme little like you did does not make you any smaller not in my darn eyes anyways abut when you know first stage beta tests and a also a MSDN beta tester your self its easy to see eveyone is taking bull lol there have been so called windows 8 leeks before windows 7 came out lol
you got a link to your theme ?

Works on Vista 32bit Too, but it show over clock and tray icons bar become "glitched", with the expand arrow semi-invisible.

update: i've tried it without Aero and without msstyles. (windows classic)
seems working fine, but it don't reserve space and shows up right tray icons, over the clock space. if i uncheck the clock from option panel of the taskbar, Avatar don't remains too, and re-show up checking the clock. the bug of "hiding/show arrow" of traybar icons appears only with aero and msstyles, not with classic.
