Description
Following the Gilly redesign from earlier I recently tried again for practice exercise and chose another Neopets character, this time being Magax. I remember liking Magax and his game back in the days when I still remember my Neopets password so here's a redux of the original edgy cat man.

Mostly I tried to preserve the staples of his design like his earring, eye scar and goatee while adding some twists and flairs where I could. Such as, I combined elements of several previous designs Magax has had over the years such as a cape that I turned into a scarf, gloves from an old design plus wrist braces from his current design, and some liberties on his vest, boots and belt which have had different looks at times. I was going for a grizzled old warrior kind of look so threw in more scars and a chewed up ear while emphasizing his eye scar more to compensate - I like to think he got his famous eye scar from Hubrid Nox the first time Magax renounced the ways of evil, and they had an epic fight where Nox managed to hit Magax in the face with something nasty that left a lasting mark.

I also played with the design of his magical axe since it's usually just drawn as a flat green shape, so I added fancy rune-like designs and a slightly more ornate shape with a transparent kind of look since it seems to be made out of his signature green magic. Speaking of his magic, the Neopets art is usually inconsistent with how his magic looks (it's either just flat orbs/beam shapes, flame shapes or lightning-like) so I rendered a bit of both flame and electric at once because I've decided that instead of being inconsistent that's just how his magic is - it's like a spectral green energy that can take whatever form he wants it to take including forming it into solid objects to use as weapons or just throwing it around as raw energy beams and bolts.
