They weren't the best duo to collaborate against such a beast. However, Souxei was pretty good at reading others and understood Baal's ambition. He avoided the direct combact to move in a higher place and prepare for the right moment.

Baal sort of understood, within the heat of the battle, that Souxei wanted the Aquatic near that slope and did her best to move the beast there.

They had to succeed.

Nessa was fully committed to protect those unaware pups that appeared at the shore in the exact moment the Aquatic emerged.

Uka and Charlie were totally ready to come back and warn their pack as soon as possible. Barnabas had to be brought back immediately.
