The Ancient Chronicles of Elven declare:

And every evening on the West of the Earth the monstrous ghost of Dragon emerges from the sea to catch the Sun in order to prevent it to fall into sea on its way down.

Then the Dragon's Ghost must swim on the opposite Eastern part of Earth to release Sun in time for its way up.

And it is also said that when once Dragon doesn't emerge, or if emerges with delay, it will be the end of all living beings on the Earth.
