Description
The Reflexshans hair salon next to the Just Around the Corner Art Gallery shop burned last Saturday causing smoke and water damage to the neighboring shops and their basements. The fire was discovered as the emergency crews responded to an overturned SUV that impacted with a light pole in the front of the building.
The firemen on the scene noticed smoke issuing from the back of the building while redirecting traffic. At first the fire was thought to be started by the light pole that was knocked down into the building but later it was decided that it started in the back. The exact cause is still under investigation.

There was little artwork lost in Just Around the corner. Most of the damage was to bags, tissue paper, and displays. My work was by the window to the right at the top of the frame on the shared wall. None of my work was claimed damaged at this time. the counter demonstrates the smoke staines and where things were sitting
