Since it's my birthday today (23, baby!), I decided to do what I did last time: create a profile for an OC.

=Biography=
Janet Long is a teenage girl with one goal in mind: make sure her image as a mature teen doesn't break. However, she tries way too hard to make sure she doesn't show any signs of vulnerability, that she ends up making herself vulnerable to her peers. Thankfully, she has friends who support her no matter how she behaves. Aside from acting mature, she also has a desire for action, as she gets pumped up for the latest action movies, and rides on her Heelys.

=How I created her=
What started out as a stock character for my Twitter banner became my third main original character. It was a girl who had her long hair stylized like a beehive, and wore a dark purple sweater with a fire pattern. I ended up liking the design of the character so much, I decided to utilize her for some of my future drawings. When I decided to use her, I had to give her name. For some reason, the name "Janet" just came to me, and it just stuck, so I went with it. As for her last name, I looked at a list of some of the most common last names in the US, and one of the names listed was "Long" and I kind of liked the sound of it, so I used it. Thus, the creation of my third OC was born.

When creating the character, I wanted to try and make her much different from my other two OCs, Charlotte and Annie. For Janet, I decided to give her solid black eyes instead of solid white, made her older (the other two are 10, and she's 13), and made her not-so-sweet. For this character, I wanted her to be a bit more mature, so much so, that it's her personality. Interestingly, when I created her, I never drew the bottom half of her body (at least in her normal clothes), so I got to think of what else she would be wearing besides her sweater. I decided to have her wear a pair of those pop tights, and Heelys shoes. Why Heelys? When I was in elementary, I used to think that all the cool kids would wear them, and they would often like to show them off to impress the students. Since Janet is someone who comes off as cool, I thought they'd be perfect for her.
