Longuvermids were some of the first creatures to be effected by the rising Anoxic levels, as a result several clades radiated with different solutions. Neovermis became faster at burrowing and crawling, able to quickly escape the Anoxic levels. Once the ocean returned to its normal state, they quickly recolonized the deeper waters, filling a variety of niches, from root eaters to ambush predators.
