These Astophylids have outcompeted Vannaphylids, and shorter members of their ancestor clade, forming their own vast meadows wherever Columnaphylus forests and Vermicorallius reefs are not present. A fascinating aspect of this plant is that it is capable of rotating to follow the suns rays. Due to this adaptation, the Rotophylus meadows often look different in the morning than they do in the evening. A few clades have managed to invade the rivers of Nigel V.
