These relatively small Patellatestids are smaller than most of their relatives, but have a surprisingly strong bite. They can take chunks out of their larger cousins soft spots, or even bit through weakened areas of the shell to eat the soft flesh underneath. A decent amount of species are scavengers, feeding on carrion that has been left behind. These small animals have a secret weapon, they can leap quite a distance underwater, over 10 times their length.
